Now that you've said "Yes!", everything has changed. Every waking moment, in some way, involves wedding planning; conversations, shopping, eating.......
There are so many details to attend to when planning a wedding; and most women want...well, what they want. Some couples choose to have a most lavish wedding while others prefer the simplest of ceremonies. Most weddings fall somewhere in between. None of them are wrong.
It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of saying, "I Do", but you also need someone to ask the question. "Do You.....?" Sadly, some couples view the ceremony as something they must endure to get to the party; yet this is one of the most important events of your life. But a wedding is more than 'an event'. It is when family & friends come together at a time that is as special as the couple themselves.
Choosing an officiant is an important decision. And there are many kinds of officiants capable of marrying you in a variety of ways. But above all, you should be confident in the officiant you choose. You want someone able to communicate, trustworthy, respect your wishes of what you would like as a wedding ceremony, because your ceremony is the heart of your wedding day. It is the official act that unites you as husband & wife.
Each couple is unique; with individual needs & ideas for what they want for their wedding as well as sometimes difficult family situations.
Shopping around for your officiant, you will find the words "best" & "perfect". All I can promise you is that together we will work to create the ceremony you envision, whether you are including a unity ceremony, roses to the mothers or a memorial to someone you have lost. And even though I have conducted hundreds of ceremonies I am always open to new ideas.
A lot of my ceremonies are civil, some with spiritual undertones. But for those that follow a particular religious belief, being a non-denominational minister allows me the freedom to perform those types of ceremonies, as well. I also do interfaith ceremonies, second marriages and vow renewals.

If you are coming from out-of-town, meeting is not always an option. I can provide you with references to some of the couples whom I've met for the first time, at the rehearsal or even THE day. And, even though I may have had an initial meeting with a couple, a lot of those ceremony details change or are decided via emails as we take little bites out of the ceremony planning. My goal is to make your ceremony planning stress-free. I cannot guarantee that you won't be nervous on your wedding day but I can guarantee that it will be a wonderful memory; one that you will look back on fondly, and smile.

Ps. Of course, if you wish to have a quick ceremony, that satisfies the legal requirements of State Law, I am happy to provide you with those services. Why have such an important event in your lives be impersonal when you can have a simple, memorable ceremony by someone who truly cares about the words used to start your married life.
** Weddings are very personal and joyous occasions to be shared by friends and family. However, when a couple has celebrity; status, a wedding can become difficult when trying to avoid the media. I recognize & understand the importance of confidentiality and provide such an agreement. It may be used in place of or in addition to any agreement the couple may wish to provide.
** I am on the approved list at Lebanon Correctional Institution & Warren Correctional Institution in Lebanon, Ohio to perform marriage ceremonies at their facility. Please see the Prison/FAQ page for further information.
